The IT Technology programme will quality you to work with the design, construction and planning of electronics and communication systems.

By using innovative methods, you will work with quality and resource management of a project while learning how to translate customer needs into technical solutions within network and electronics.

ABOUT EDUCATION


The IT Technology programme is designed to combine theory with practice. The first three semesters are taught at the academy through a combination of classroom teaching, projects, case studies, guest speakers and company visits. In the fourth semester, theory is applied in practice through an internship in a company of your choice.

Programme structure

The programme consists of four core areas: Electronic Systems, Network Technology Systems, Software Development and Company.

The core areas of the programme take the form of cross-disciplinary programme components, specialization programme components, an internship and a Final exam project, totaling 120 ECTS.

The IT Technology programme is designed to combine theory with practice. Electronic System

Here you will acquire new knowledge and skills within electronic systems, such as basic electronics, interface, technical mathematics and embedded systems, as well as the ability to use up-to-date tools and equipment in connection with development and testing.

This core area will teach you how to:

  • Communicate, document, present and provide support in connection with internal and customer relations
  • Participate in practice-based development processes
  • Work with Electronic systems independently and with innovative tools

Communications technology systems

Here you will acquire new knowledge and skills within communications technology systems such as basic models, protocols and operating systems, as well as the ability to use up-to-date tools and equipment in connection with design and testing.

This core area will teach you how to:

  • Communicate, document, present and provide support in connection with internal and customer relations
  • Participate in practice-based development processes and handle documentation
  • Work independently with communication technology systems

Software development

Here you will learn how to convert specific assignments into technical solutions and you will gain the ability to use up-to-date tools and equipment in connection with design, development and testing software.

Moreover, as part of this core area you will learn about Programming Technology.

This core area will teach you how to:

  • Work with software development specific tasks
  • Communicate, document, present and provide support in connection with internal and customer relations
  • Participate in praxis-based development processes and handle documentation

Company

Here you will learn about innovation, project management, quality and resource management within a company. Moreover, you will be introduced to advisory and consultancy functions as well as to notions of economics.

This core area is designed to train you within the communication area with a focus innovation, project management and business understanding.

This core area will teach you how to:

  • Undertake independent as well as customer and team-based assignments
  • Independently handle technical project management assignments
  • Work efficiently within the company

SPECIALIZATION


As part of the IT Technology study programme, you will be able to choose specialization worth 30 ECTS . 

Data Centre Management

Here you will learn how to build and operate a data center. You will learn about cloud and hybrid solutions for data centers as well as about Big Data.

IT Security

Here you will learn about various security measures that you can take in cyber security. For example, you will learn about network threats, wireless security, IP security and about Firewalls.

INTERNASHIP


In order to create the right balance between your theoretical knowledge and your ability to apply it in practice, you must spend three months as an intern in an organization. Through the internship, you will contribute to creating value for the company while also developing your personal and professional competencies.

The internship experience will give you a grate insight on life into the real-business world after graduation.

The aim of the internship is to ensure real-life competencies and the development of professional and personal vocational competencies. 

You will solve practical problems on a methodical basis by using relevant theories and models, and thus creating value for the company.

You will find an internship in close collaboration with your internship counselor, and together with the internship company you will set the framework and criteria for the placement. All internships must be approved by the Academy in order to ensure the quality and relevance of the internship.

You will find several exams during your first year in several different subjects.
